Since 2004, Insight Caribbean has been engaged on a wide range of construction and insurance projects throughout the region. Our portfolio spans residential, commercial, government, and education sectors — from cost planning on new-build developments to post-disaster rehabilitation works and hurricane loss assessments.

    Elmore Stoutt High School — Technical Wing

    Project management of the new technical wing at Elmore Stoutt High School, Tortola — the BVI's largest secondary school. ICI coordinated with design consultants, statutory approvals, and construction delivery in conjunction with Quality Construction as the main contractor.

    Outcome: Technical wing completed and handed over to the Ministry of Education, delivering modern vocational and technical learning facilities for BVI students.

    Jost van Dyke Primary School

    Project management of the primary school on Jost van Dyke, coordinating with design consultants, statutory approvals, and on-island construction logistics in conjunction with Quality Construction as the main contractor.

    Outcome: School delivered to the Ministry of Education, providing the Jost van Dyke community with a purpose-built primary education facility.

    Eslyn Henley Educational Centre

    Consultant quantity surveying services for the Social Security Board office building on Nevis, covering cost planning, bills of quantities, tender documentation, contractor evaluation, and post-contract cost control through to final account. Chiverton Construction as Main Contractor.

    Outcome: Project completed in 2026, delivering a significant new educational facility for the BVI community and demonstrating ICI's continued role in the territory's public infrastructure programme.

    Social Security Board Office Building

    Consultant quantity surveying services for the Social Security Board office building on Nevis, covering cost planning, bills of quantities, tender documentation, contractor evaluation, and post-contract cost control through to final account.

    Outcome: Final account settled within the approved budget, with all cost reporting delivered on schedule throughout the construction programme.

    Consultant quantity surveying services for the Lands and Surveying Department building in Montserrat, providing cost management from early-stage estimates through bills of quantities, procurement support, and final account agreement.

    Outcome: Government facility delivered with full cost transparency, supporting the Montserrat administration's ongoing infrastructure rebuilding programme.

    Salem Secondary School — Volcanic Rehabilitation

    Consultant quantity surveying services for the rehabilitation of Salem Secondary School — a landmark project in the restoration of educational services on Montserrat following the devastating eruption of the Soufrière Hills volcano. ICI provided condition-based cost assessment, schedules of works, tender documentation, and post-contract cost reporting to support the island's recovery.

    Outcome: Rehabilitation works completed within budget, restoring secondary education facilities and marking a significant milestone in Montserrat's long-term recovery from one of the Caribbean's most destructive volcanic events.

  • Loss Adjusting

    Hurricane Tomas — Resort Damage Assessments, St Lucia

    Quantity surveying damage assessment services provided to Pioneer Claims (Trinidad) across three major St Lucian resort properties — Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, LeSport (now Body Holiday), and Rendezvous — following the impact of Hurricane Tomas in 2010. One of the most damaging storms to affect St Lucia in decades, Tomas caused widespread structural and infrastructure damage across the island. ICI prepared independent reinstatement cost reports for each property to support the claims settlement process.

    Outcome: Detailed cost assessments delivered across all three resort properties within the required timeframe, providing Pioneer Claims with the independent QS evidence needed to progress and settle each claim equitably.

    Hurricane Matthew — Loss Adjusting Support, The Bahamas

    Loss adjusting support services provided in The Bahamas following Hurricane Matthew (2016) on behalf of Axis (Eastern Caribbean) Ltd, part of York RSG. ICI assessed property damage across a portfolio of residential and commercial claims, providing independent reinstatement cost reports to support the insurer's settlement process.

    Outcome: Detailed cost assessments delivered within the insurer's required timeframe, enabling timely and equitable claim settlements for policyholders affected by one of the most destructive Atlantic hurricanes of 2016.

    Hurricanes Irma & Maria — NAGICO Insurances Loss Adjusting

    Loss adjusting services provided to NAGICO Insurances across Sint Maarten and the BVI following the catastrophic back-to-back impacts of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in September 2017. ICI assessed structural and contents damage across a portfolio of residential and commercial properties on behalf of the insurer.

    Outcome: Comprehensive reinstatement cost reports delivered across multiple properties and two territories within the insurer's required timeframes, enabling fair and timely claim settlements for policyholders in the aftermath of one of the most destructive hurricane seasons on record.
